Insurance Regulatory Practice
Our insurance regulatory practice primarily consists of the representation of property and casualty insurers, as well as life and health entities, self-insured funds and insurance producers, including agencies, brokers and management companies.
We provide guidance to our insurance clients on a number of issues including achieving regulatory compliance under federal and state statutes, licensing and registration, regulatory filings and product development, financial and market conduct examinations, holding company matters, data security and privacy issues, legislative matters, insurance company taxation, mergers and acquisitions, policies and endorsements, coverage matters, reinsurance, and numerous other day-to-day regulatory, operational, and transactional matters.
We have considerable experience and regularly help our insurance clients obtain approval for their significant transactions (Form A), rates and forms, and other regulatory filings with the Virginia Bureau of Insurance (Virginia department of insurance). In addition, we routinely assist our clients in resolving compliance issues and regulatory actions under Virginia’s insurance laws and regulations with the Virginia Bureau of Insurance.
We help our regulated insurance clients find solutions to the problems or issues they face every day.
